Job Title: Neonatologist

Join a dedicated team at a prominent healthcare facility in Topeka, Kansas, where you can thrive in a stimulating environment. This full-time position offers the chance to work alongside a team of 5 physicians within a Level-III, 36-bed NICU. Job Responsibilities:
  • Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
  • Combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, covering approximately 170 hours per month in-house.
  • Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
  • Deliver comprehensive care in a Level-III NICU.
  • Manage high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
  • Support an average daily census of 26 with an approximately 19-day average length of stay.
  • Handle around 500 admissions annually.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialties such as Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, and Endocrinology.
  • Maintain the Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies.
  • Open to new Fellow graduates who are Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Visa sponsorship available for candidates requiring J1 or H1B visa support.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
  • Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
  • Kansas license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • Board Eligibility or Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Kansas state medical license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Fellowship completion in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
