The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Dynatrace, along with a strong leadership background. This role requires someone who can architect scalable systems while driving reliability and operational excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on AWS. Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS. Leverage Dynatrace to proactively monitor application performance and resolve issues. Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Collaborate with software development teams to embed reliability into the development lifecycle. Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs Conduct post-incident reviews and implement root cause fixes to enhance system resilience. Build automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 14+ years of experience in SRE or related roles, with a strong architectural focus on AWS. Expertise in Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS. Deep proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc. Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application and infrastructure monitoring. Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices. Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to perform under pressure. Note: Only candidates local to the Chicago area or willing to relocate will be considered, as this is a fully onsite position.
