Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; a strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and require ion campus instruction. We anticipate a need for instructors in our Automotive Technology Program. The classes will be on weekdays. Applicants should have work experience in the following subjects: Shop safety, general service, basic automotive electricity, engine operation and theory. Strong organizational and diagnostic skills are desired. Weekday Classes: Automotive Service and Maintenance Internal Combustion Engines Basic Automotive Electricity In addition to the minimum qualifications below, the preferred applicant will have ASE Master Certification A1-A8 or be able to obtain certification in areas teaching before classes begin. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should possess an Associate degree in Automotive Technology and have 5 years of experience as a technician. Should possess industry certifications such as Vehicle Manufacturer, ASE, and Aftermarket. Preference is given to those with higher education teaching experience, who have used a learning management system (such as Blackboard or Canvas), and who are engaged in community service. The salary range for this position is $800-$950 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
