- Keep up to date with industry trends by networking with the community and attending meetings and conventions
Responsibilities
- Drive the overall performance of the business with direct P&L responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day operations, assign monthly performance / financial goals and ensure their completion
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved
- Recruit, onboard, and train employees to achieve objectives for sales, service, profitability and market share
- Provide overall direction for effective recording, analyzing, and reporting of all financial results (i.e. budgeting, planning, analysis, consolidated financial reporting, taxes, cost accounting, systems)
- Develop, understand, and negotiate contracts
- Present at annual meetings, board meetings, and/or other informational sessions
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience in Agricultural business and/or machinery industry
- Proven success in a managerial role
- Budget ownership and/or P&L responsibility
- Strong decision-making ability
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
- Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures (sales, service & finance)
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
- Team player with strong focus on business development, profitable growth and execution
