The National Sales Manager - Defense/Aerospace will oversee and manage the sales strategy for electromechanical products across the United States. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and driving sales growth through both direct and distributor channels. The National Sales Manager will be based out of the client's Brockton, MA facility on a hybrid basis.

Description
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to drive growth in electromechanical products across multiple industries.
- Lead and manage a team of regional sales representatives and work closely with distributors to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry contacts.
- Expand market presence by targeting key accounts in industries such as industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, and more.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), integrators, and distributors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and ensure high levels of satisfaction by offering tailored solutions to meet their electromechanical needs.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular updates on pipeline activity, market trends, and competitive intelligence. Track sales performance against targets and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure sales goals are met.
- Work closely with internal product management and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product launches, promotional campaigns, and technical support. Ensure that customer feedback is communicated to the development teams to refine product offerings.
- Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities in the electromechanical product space to stay ahead of the competition. Use this knowledge to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Provide training and support to sales teams and distributors on product knowledge, sales tactics, and industry best practices. Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture that drives results.
- Travel regularly within the United States (up to 40%) to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit key accounts.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced certifications in sales or engineering are a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the electromechanical, industrial automation, or similar technology-driven industry.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a sales team, with a strong understanding of the sales process from lead generation to closing.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales and key account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of electromechanical products, including motors, actuators, sensors, and control systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Ability to analyze market conditions, customer needs, and competitor behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting, and pipeline management software.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary between $165,000 - $175,000.
