The National Sales Manager will report to the Executive Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for all sales activities in the designated market channels.
The
key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Developing a business plan covering sales, revenues, expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization's regional presence.
- Establishing the sales channels to market, including distribution, agents, and end-user retail sales.
- Research and develop a list of potential clients, proactively identify, locate, and prospect new business leads.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with external customers, sharing knowledge, and being a team player.
- Evaluating and learning customer and competitor activities and proposing solutions.
- Conducting product and sales training sessions to meet internal and external customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have the following
qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of sales leadership and business development experience.
- Completing a post-secondary program focusing on business and engineering or combining education and previous sales experience will be considered.
- Experience in the building materials industry, preferably in flooring
- Demonstrated business development skills with the ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate, negotiate, and close sales.
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills and superior presentation skills are required.
- Established ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships effectively.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and a CRM program is preferred.
- Able to travel frequently and be away from home for multiple days.
- Excellent time-management, communications, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organization skills.
