A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
Throughout the day, National Account Managers are responsible for a variety of tasks. Beyond maintaining their own book of clients, they play a critical role in the success and development of their Account Reps by supporting project fulfillment, monitoring the competitive landscape, and analyzing overall performance metrics.

Some of the many daily or recurring responsibilities may include:
  • Coordinate with other departments
  • Keep reps updated
  • Hire and onboard new reps
  • Develop and review new sales collateral and materials
  • Research industry changes and trends
  • Support their own sales pipeline
  • Assist and support sales reps
  • Test new customer acquisition channels
  • Analyze their pipeline performance and progress
  • Analyze their reps' performance and progress
  • Identify top reps and those who need additional coaching
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with reps
  • Manage and improve team morale
  • Stay approachable and have a coaching mindset
  • Build templates and create processes
  • Invest in software and technology solutions
  • Keep the team on track for success
  • Meet with your team to brainstorm new and exciting ways to attract talent
  • Apply your marketing skills to our postings, social media sites, and the community to help attract talent
  • Use your people skills and interview techniques to find the right candidates for current opportunities
  • Seek out opportunities to build relationships and actively look for a way to impact these relationships in a positive way
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to maintain accurate detailed notes
  • Effective time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
  • Dedicated, Reliable, Self-Motivated, Competitive, Adaptable, Brave, Fun, Purple-Squirrel-Like
  • Above average Ping-Pong Player
  • Plays a musical instrument
  • Desire to learn about different industries and career paths
  • One year of recruiting, or human resources experience including recruiting and/or employment hiring process
  • Previous experience with HRIS or ATS system
