ARS is seeking a creative and technically skilled Multimedia Visual Communications Specialist to create compelling visual content that showcases our government innovation initiatives. Responsibilities include: Create high-quality multimedia content including videos, photos, animations, graphics, and interactive presentations
Capture and edit photography and video to document program activities, adhering to security guidelines
Design visually appealing graphics, logos, infographics, and other visual elements for print and digital media
Support website design and maintenance, ensuring user-friendly experience and visual appeal
Ensure all visual products comply with branding guidelines while maintaining consistent voice and tone
Organize, catalog, and archive multimedia content according to established protocols
Select and operate appropriate equipment for each assignment (cameras, lighting, audio gear)
Use industry-standard software for video editing, graphic design, animation, and audio production
Ensure all multimedia content meets standards for accuracy, security, and relevance
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in visual communication
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely delivery of visual products
Incorporate feedback to improve quality and effectiveness of multimedia deliverables
Support event documentation through photography and videography
Convert complex technical information into accessible visual formats
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: Must be a US citizen
Bachelor's degree or certificate in Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in multimedia production, preferably in a professional communications environment
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Strong understanding of photography and videography principles, techniques, and equipment
Demonstrated graphic design skills with attention to detail and aesthetics
Experience creating and editing videos for digital platforms
Portfolio showcasing diverse multimedia work including graphics, photography, and video
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Knowledge of file management and digital asset organization
Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving abilities
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
Desired Qualifications: Experience working in government, defense, or technology sectors
Knowledge of visual communication principles for technical or scientific content
Background in UX/UI design for digital platforms
Experience with 3D modeling or animation software
Familiarity with livestreaming and virtual event production
Knowledge of accessibility standards for visual content
Experience with motion graphics and kinetic typography
Background in brand development and visual identity systems
Understanding of security protocols for visual media in government settings
Experience with data visualization techniques
