PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES FOR WHICH THIS INDIVIDUAL IS ACCOUNTABLE 1. Management of the model and testimonial legal processes, training and forms.
2. Assist the Director of Marketing in search engine optimization and ensuring the website remains attractive and engaging through photography and videography.
3. Provide headshots and team shots for College staff and Mustang Athletics.
4. Adminstration of a digital asset library for the College.
5. Take high quality photos, on and off campus, for promotion of student life and representation of the College brand.
6. Produce and edit video in short and long formats with a focus on prospecting.
7. Manage procedures and storyboard/script building for video projects from concept to final production.
8. Set design, set up, lighting, shooting, editing and final delivery and post project assessment.
9. Build and manage voice recordings for college and advertising.
10. Build out student and staff spotlights for promotion on all platforms.
11. Responsible for shooting and editing videos on campus as needed for public relations projects including post-production.
12. Increase College YouTube content and followers in conjunction with the Social Media Coordinator.
13. Assist in building imagery onto web pages with web content managers.
14. Apply the College's brand identity and follow the Publication Standards Manual to all appropriate aspects of multimedia projects.
15. Participate with staff in developing creative concepts and ideas for specific projects.
16. Monitor trends and developments in multimedia platforms and identify potential use.
17. Work with student interns, workers and volunteers on multimedia projects.
18. Manage and keep inventory of all equipment for the Marketing Department such as drones, cameras, lighting, etc.
19. Operate within the framework established by Western's policies, procedures, and practices.
20. Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications1. Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, or a directly related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
2. Three (3) years of experience in creating digital content, shooting and editing videos or still images, photography.
3. Knowledge of Adobe creative - suite (Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator) and function in a MAC environment.
4. Knowledge of cameras from DSLR to HDV.
5. Ability to represent the college effectively at the local, regional and state levels.
6. Ability to solve challenging, creative and technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
7. Ability to relate well to diverse populations, including faculty, students, staff, and the public, in a friendly, courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
8. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
9. Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and standards for the management and disclosure of public information.
10. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including excellent public speaking ability.
Equivalency Statement For those candidates who do not meet all the minimum qualifications, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which has provided comparable knowledge and abilities, will be acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications1. Master's degree in business, communication, marketing, or a directly related field from a regionally accredited college or university
2. Knowledge of best practices in higher education communication.
3. Knowledge of building HTML documents.
4. Knowledge of branding, marketing, media, PR and other communication strategies.
5. Skill in building accessible documents.
6. Knowledge of the comprehensive role of the community college.
