Brief Position Description:
The Multi-Tradesman is an integral part of the success of Haggerty Construction, Inc. (HCI). The main focus of the Multi-Tradesman will be site construction activities such as responding to service calls, fulfilling Work Orders and working on various special projects.
Responsibilities
- Erecting and breaking up scaffolding, ramps etc. with attention to safety
- Unloading and carrying materials at construction sites
- Stocking, installing & constructing various types of commercial construction
- Working with the Field Supervisor, Superintendent(s) & Project Manager(s) to fulfill Work Order requests
- Adhering to HCI's safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring all construction work performed is of the highest quality
- Maintaining a clean and organized shop and jobsite area
- Maintaining organization and security of all HCI owned tools and materials
- Submitting timely and accurate time tracking reports each week to the Field Supervisor
Reports To
- The Multi-Tradesman, Restoration Department reports directly to the Field Supervisor
Job Specific Requirements
- Experience in the commercial construction industry in one or more areas such as demolition, landscaping, irrigation, concrete cutting, concrete finishing, non-structural metal stud framing, insulation, sealants & caulking, doors & hardware, glass & glazing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, tiling, various flooring, painting, accessories, HVAC, plumbing &/or electrical
- Proficient in use of hand / power tools
- Ability to read / interpret instructions & construction documents
- Ability to learn and take direction
- Understanding of plumbing and electrical systems
General Requirements
- Good knowledge of English language (Spoken and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable personal transportation and a motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with HCI's and insurance carrier's standards and policies
- Must be self-motivated, punctual, and professional in both presentation, appearance, and speech
- Provide solution based responses to issues

- Able to lift 50-75 lbs. Ability to lift heavy objects as encountered in the work environment
- Ability to work outside year round in all types of weather conditions
- Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances
- Ability to raise, lower and climb various types of ladders
- Hearing and visual capabilities to safely handle the hazards encountered in the work environment
- Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project (may require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time)
- Working knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades)
Educational and Experience Considerations:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the construction industry in a Laborer (or similar) role
