Position: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Location: Oxford, NC

Salary: $32-$39/hour

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our client's Maintenance Team in Oxford, NC. In this critical role, you will contribute directly to the reliability of plant operations, product quality, and overall equipment efficiency. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and control systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide on-site mechanical support during startups, process changes, and technology transfers
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment and PLC-controlled systems
  • Analyze ladder logic and assist in diagnosing control system issues
  • Execute and document work orders to support plant objectives
  • Collaborate with production staff to complete maintenance tasks
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Deliver technical training and share best practices with plant personnel
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Calibrate and maintain instrumentation used for measuring variables like pressure, flow, temperature, and chemical composition
  • Assist in design, modification, and hazard analysis in support of engineering
  • Stay current on technical advancements through training and industry resources
  • Lead or support plant-wide improvement and automation projects

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and statistical analysis capabilities
  • Working knowledge of physics and ladder logic
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with PLCs, especially Allen Bradley systems (highly preferred)
  • Ability to install, configure, and calibrate control and instrumentation systems
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial networks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to safety and quality
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Willingness to be on call as needed to support production

Preferred Experience:


  • Programming and configuring PLCs and PACs
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems
  • Knowledge of industry-standard safety codes and practices
  • Experience with maintenance programs and project management
