Job Overview:

The Civil Group at Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Windows and Linux servers in a multi-cloud environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing compute and storage infrastructures, driving automation, and ensuring scalability, flexibility, and regulatory compliance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Systems Administration

Administer Windows Server 2022 and RHEL 8 environments

Perform regular platform upgrades, vulnerability management, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Automate administrative tasks using native scripting languages

Manage application inventory, administration, and compliance

Deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps pipelines

Manage SSL certificate lifecycles and associated domain infrastructure

Administer data backups and disaster recovery policies

Active Directory Management

Handle identity lifecycles: onboarding, offboarding, access reviews, and privilege management

Configure and manage Group Policies and Azure EntraID in line with Enterprise Access Models

Network Infrastructure

Implement highly available network architectures in hybrid-cloud environments

Manage IP-based access rules, network address sourcing, and CIDR whitelisting/blacklisting

Collaboration

Work closely with DevSecOps teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions

Maintain thorough documentation of systems and network infrastructure

Support internal training initiatives and manage incident response

Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across systems

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field + 4 years of experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)

Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) operating systems

Solid understanding of cybersecurity and server hardening practices

Proficiency in network concepts: DNS, VPN, DHCP, TLS, IP subnetting, and routing

Experience automating infrastructure and administrative tasks

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems independently

Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal

Strong commitment to continuous learning and development

Must be eligible for Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar field

Certifications such as: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP

Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Policy, or Azure EntraID
