Job Description - MRI Technologist
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our high-volume outpatient diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will perform a variety of MRI procedures and ensure the highest standards of image quality and patient care using advanced imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures on patients across diverse age groups and conditions.
Ensure proper patient positioning, preparation, and safety throughout the exam.
Operate and troubleshoot advanced MRI systems and associated equipment.
Maintain strict quality control standards and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Utilize the Radiology Information System (RIS) for scheduling, patient tracking, and documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to optimize patient care.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology School.
Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care or high-volume outpatient MRI setting.
Must obtain ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification within 6 months of hire.
Current CPR certification is required (or must be obtained during orientation).
Preferred: Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Certification from the Texas Department of Health.
Strong technical skills and a patient-first approach.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
Full-time position
Day shift (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with rotating weekends
On-call requirement: one week every 10 weeks
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate: $31 - $45/hr based on experience
Weekend shift differential: $6.50/hr
Attractive sign-on bonus: up to $10K (paid on the 2/3rd check with a 2-year commitment)
