Here at Fairview, we are hiring an MRI Technologist to join our MRI department at our Woodwinds Hospital location in Woodbury, MN. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position. The schedule will be working overnights, Monday through Friday from 11PM - 7:00AM.
If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 11pm - 7am, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $8.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials.

The MRI Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).
Responsibilities
Maintains patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness
Documents patient information
Ensures proper film identification on all images
Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging
Accurate film marking and jacket preparation
Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment
Performs training and education duties
Participates in the orientation of new employees
Responsible for the training of students
Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees
Maintains equipment
Correctly operates equipment
Optimizes use of equipment
Understands the structure visualized and its significance
Required Qualifications
ARRT Certification
Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and current before date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Additional education in Imaging or Healthcare
1 year of experience
MRI Certification within 18 months of hire or transfer to the role
Qualifications:
$40.41-$57.05 Hourly
