The MRI technologist is responsible for providing compassionate patient care while performing MRI examinations under physician direction to aid in medical diagnosis and treatment.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images. Explaining procedures and positioning patients. Administering IV contrast when necessary. Participating in quality initiatives for patient satisfaction and care. Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent experience, ARRT (R) (MR) certification, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include experience as an MRI Technologist and a bachelor's degree.
Physical requirements involve manual dexterity, patient transport, and effective communication.
