Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a full-time technologist for its Radiology Department located in a U.S. state. The position is for 1.0 FTE, equating to 80.00 hours per two-week pay period, with a day shift. This role focuses on providing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography services, contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment. The organization emphasizes a commitment to patient care, continuous learning, and fostering a safe and innovative clinical setting.
This position may be eligible for housing and/or a relocation bonus. Responsibilities
Provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care to perform various imaging and radiologic procedures.
Review patient history, initiate Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Computed Tomography images based on physician orders, and prioritize procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.1
Safely administer contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition.
Respond to and report changes in patient condition as appropriate.
Implement techniques to yield clarity in image, quality control, and equipment functionality based on established best practices in Radiology (ARRT).2
May perform 3-D post-processing while entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.
Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Model proficiency through precepting those new to imaging and/or the organization.
Welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
Contribute to securing safety and quality at the point of care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MR) and computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
State licensure if required by law.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Compensation
The hourly pay for this position ranges from $38.72 to $58.08 , dependent on the applicant's relevant experience. This position may be eligible for housing and/or a relocation bonus.
