Motor Vehicle Operator with Security Clearance

Duties You will operate trucks to transport supplies, materials, equipment and tools or to tow equipment. You will maneuver trucks over rough terrain, overimproved or unimproved roads, in close quarters and in heavy traffic on both long and short hauls. You will perform operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, and cleaning and washing vehicles. You will complete trip tickets and preventative maintenance records. Requirements Conditions of Employment Incumbent must know how to safely operate forklifts for loading and unloading of material or equipment. Incumbent must possess "P" and "X" endorsements on their CDL to transport passengers and haul. Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Incumbent may also operate class "C" vehicles that include any two-axle vehicles with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds, any three-axle vehicles weighing less than 6,000 pounds gross." Recognizing hazardous road and traffic conditions, and the judgement to adjust driving methods to the practices of surrounding traffic and select alternate routes to avoid potential problems. Reading and understanding road maps and other locator documents and determine the shortest and safest route for both short and long runs.
