Mortgage System Analyst
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
Incumbent is responsible for support, administration, maintenance and testing of pertinent software applications utilized by various business units operating within the department. Assistant to the Senior Mortgage System Analyst to obtain business requirements for proposed changes to software applications.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Completes all tasks and responsibilities required to support, administrate, and maintain pertinent Real Estate Lending department software solutions as determined by the AVP, Mortgage Systems & Support.
- Coordinates, schedules, and oversees data integrity testing of software application transactions and programs with select Real Estate Lending staff in conjunction with scheduled system releases and enhancements. Communicates documented issues identified during testing to lending management and to ISD project management, as applicable.
- Communicates, coordinates and acts as liaison between VyStar and various mortgage origination and servicing software vendors to trouble shoot and resolve program/service issues, ensure updates are tested within our framework as well as ensure routine maintenance.
- Provides first-level IT support to the Real Estate Lending department.
- Attends scheduled project meetings and communicates upward/downward key project target completion dates to Real Estate Lending business partners and management.
- Presents software releases, system enhancements, and newly created reporting at scheduled Lending Change Management meetings.
- Implements basic system enhancements utilizing the Business Requirements Document as outlined in team policy and coordinate with other business units including compliance, legal, operations support and training departments.
- Create and/or provide documentation/user guides to pertinent mortgage staff on how each developed product works and how code-produced calculations are performed.
- Responsible for understanding mortgage department goals as well as Credit Union goals and pro-actively works toward attainment of those goals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION - High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Associate degree is preferred.
- Continuing education via local conferences and workshops is required for updates on federal regulations and secondary market requirements.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum of two years of experience in a mortgage position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES - Applicant must have positive, well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, be detail oriented, have good organizational and active listening skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proven ability to work with others.
- Must have professional conduct and appearance and be self-motivated.
- Must work under the philosophy of "people helping people" and be able to communicate with members on all levels.
- Working knowledge of equipment used in the daily performance of job duties, including Windows laptop, conference room presentation tools, and multi-function equipment is required.
- Proficient on all Microsoft Office applications, and credit union software and/or core operating systems pertinent to completing various tasks and responsibilities of the position.
- Experience reading and creating delimited and fixed-width text files, as well as programming with Visual Basic (VB/VBA) or JavaScript preferred.
