Overview:
We are seeking a Encompass System Administrator to join the Mortgage Operations team for a banking client in Johnston, IA. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the loan origination software system (Encompass). The administrator will be responsible for the effective configuration, operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Encompass systems. They will act as a liaison with other technology departments for IT-managed system changes. As an individual contributor, this person will work alongside 2-3 peers and report to the Business Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project management to develop and implement new business programs and enhancements, including IT and business-managed systems.
- Define, test, and implement new system enhancements and workflows with management and staff, ensuring effective integration with other systems.
- Set up and maintain products and programs within Encompass, and other related business systems.
- Conduct admin testing for system changes and vendor updates; provide specs for UAT/signoff testing.
- Write and update system guidelines, policies, and user documentation; provide training on system changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly using Jira and Confluence tickets; manage employee accounts in business applications.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the banking/credit union/financial services industry
- 3+ years of experience of Encompass system admin experience
- Some coding knowledge and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Certified Mortgage System Administrator (CMSA) certification is a significant plus
- Familiar with Microsoft Teams and Confluence
- Familiar with responding to tickets in Jira
Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Encompass and a comprehensive understanding of the loan origination process. It is crucial that this person has not worked in isolation on only one aspect of the process. The manager is looking for someone with technical skills who can adapt to IT requirements, though mortgage operations experience is the priority. IT technical skills can be taught but highly preferred. Having a CMSA certification would be a significant plus.
