About the Company - Tidewater Mortgage is expanding its operation and looking to hire a qualified, hardworking, and self-motivated individual with 5+ years of experience to join our processing team. This is a high-pressure position that will require strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. You must be able to handle a high volume of loans, while remaining effective and accurate in assessing each loan.



About the Role - Duties and responsibilities:



  • Review each loan file to verify that documents are present, accurate, and verifying the URLA data is complete and meets established standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower's FICO and amount of liabilities, borrower's income and length of employment, and sufficient assets for the program
  • Ensure that loan rules, obligations, and deadlines are met
  • Complying with all, RESPA, REGZ/TILA, and HMDA requirements for loans
  • Obtain mortgage loan documentation for clients
  • Utilizing the appropriate AUS system and properly entering data into the AUS from the validated information on the URLA
  • Submit a detailed loan package to the underwriter
  • Submitting the loan file to closing for settlement
  • Responding to all emails and phone calls received each day and keep the borrower updated on the progress of the file
  • Utilizing team lead to assist with the processing of complicated scenarios or potential challenges
  • Managing and keeping your pipeline up to date
  • Working with Loan Officer if program parameters are not met prior to submission
  • Communicating with business partners, 3rd party vendors, loan officers, and underwriters in a professional and courteous manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor


Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, Bond and USDA loan programs
  • Encompass experience
  • Strong math, writing and communication skills
  • TRID experience required
  • Run DU & LP & Gus
  • Can multitask at a very high level and deliver on multiple deadlines
  • Extremely well organized with a very strong attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and a quick learner
  • Has experience in a finance/lending-related role, or similar industry that is directly related to loan processing and/or making underwriting decisions
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide excellent customer service at all time

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Light to moderate lifting is required


Pay range and compensation package - Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
