Position: Modeling and Simulation Software Architect
Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance (must be a U.S. Citizen)

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as a Technical Leader, providing strategic direction and technical guidance for the program's systems development. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical challenges, coordinating development activities among contractors, reporting progress in program meetings, and collaborating closely with test and integration teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for system development, identifying technical issues, and ensuring resolution through effective coordination across the program.
• Collaborate with the Chief Architect and deputy architects to plan and develop an integrated system architecture.
• Create and maintain SysML diagrams for the RepBox architecture.
• Work closely with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to manage requirements and design considerations.
• Provide expert software guidance and oversight to Agile software development teams.
• Regularly report development status and technical progress during meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Proficient in software development with C and Java.
• Strong experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in generating System Design and Software Design artifacts.
• Skilled in creating artifacts using UML/SysML tools such as Enterprise Architect or Cameo, including Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Activity Diagrams.

Desired Skills:

• Experience using Agile Process Tools (e.g., Version One, Jira).
• Proficiency in requirements generation and system interface development.
• Familiarity with UML design documentation practices.
• Expertise with XML technologies for configuration and runtime messaging, including XML schema (XSD) and XML transforms (XSLT).
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) Design principles.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience managing software with Configuration Management Systems (e.g., Git, GitLab).
• Ability to perform system requirements and system design document decomposition.
• Strong understanding of Agile processes, specifically with Jira.

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a U.S. Government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret clearance.
