Summary
CTC Group is seeking Model-Based System Engineers for a contingent role to convert system-level requirements into comprehensive architectures that seamlessly integrate space, ground, and end-user systems to fulfill mission objectives, balancing technical, schedule, and budget considerations. Responsibilities Utilize CAMEO Systems Modeler to develop, manage, and analyze system architectures, interface control documents, and system models, ensuring alignment with mission requirements and integration across space, ground, and user segments.
Create and maintain interface control documents and system models to define and manage interactions between space, ground, and user segments.
Ensure segment-level specifications align with and support overarching system requirements.
Develop detailed system threads to document and evaluate functional workflows between space, ground, and user elements.
Conduct functional analyses, timeline assessments, and trade studies to optimize system performance and design.
Collaborate with space vehicle and ground segment contractors to validate that designs meet requirements and ensure seamless functionality across segments and systems.
Support the planning and execution of system-level tests, while reviewing and assessing segment-level test plans and their implementation.
Requirements Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant experience OR Masters and 7 years of relevant experience in engineering. In lieu of a degree, additional years of experience may be substituted.
Proficiency in CAMEO Systems Modeler for developing and analyzing system architectures, interface control documents, and system models.
Developing and/or sustaining high-reliability systems for national security, preferably including space and/or ground systems or space-to-ground integration.
Experience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems.
Excellent communication and teaming skills.
Desired Qualifications Experience with space-based tactical communications; missile warning, tracking and defense; or custody of targets from space.
Experience with a broad range of system types: custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering.
Experience in Agile methods for program management or software development.
Experience developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
