Job Title: Mobile Telemetry Engineer - Coventry

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 42 hours per week

We're looking for a passionate Mobile Telemetry Engineer to take ownership of telemetry systems across our territories. Responsibilities:

  1. Installation, maintenance, and management of telemetry systems on Speedy's assets.
  2. Providing quality service, products, and control mechanisms in the Northern Speedy territories.
  3. Leading synergy between all Speedy categories and engineering functions using telemetry.
  4. Ongoing quality control of telemetry devices attached to Speedy assets.
  5. Creating and maintaining a telemetry installation guide.
  6. Developing and updating training materials and practical sessions for Speedy engineers.
  7. Providing telemetry training to others as needed.
  8. Liaising with team members to ensure network availability.
  9. Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships across divisions.
  10. Assisting in developing Standard Operating Procedures.
  11. Participating in customer-facing activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license.
  • Experience with single and three-phase AC electrics, ideally in hire or similar engineering fields.
  • Fault finding in 12VDC and 24VDC electrics, ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Understanding of basic engine communication systems (CAN bus and MOD bus).
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with telemetry platforms.
  • Ability to write technical reports.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
  • Support of ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.

Additional considerations:

  • Previous experience as Auto Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or Electrical Technician is advantageous.
