Job Description Summary
To perform high-quality mammography images by the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards for interpretation by a physician. Requires sound understanding of anatomical position, radiographic technique, and ACR/MQSA regulatory guidelines. Must be able to act with initiative and ingenuity, autonomously perform keen technical positioning, maintain detailed quality control records for DHEC/MQSA inspection, schedule equipment maintenance, collaborate with departments to ensure health and safety compliance, decrease equipment downtime, and interact and communicate effectively with team and diverse patient populations in the community to reduce barriers and improve health literacy.

Job Description
- Autonomously perform high quality mammograms for physician's interpretation in an environment that is respectful to others, adaptive to change and accountable for outcomes.
- Maintain detailed quality control records for DHEC/MQSA inspection and collaborate with vendors to schedule equipment maintenance.
- Support culture of safety in the workplace.
- Interact and communicate effectively with Breast Team and diverse patient populations in the community to reduce health disparities and barriers.
- Accurately schedule exams, complete workflows, and document events/occurrences in EPIC and Penrad.
- Identify improvement opportunities for the department/organization.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: 0-2 years of independent mammography experienceCurrent registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in mammography. Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
