Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues and make accurate diagnoses
- Disassemble and assemble engine components as needed for repairs or replacements
- Perform heavy equipment operation as required for testing and repairs
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- HVAC certification is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license
