Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mobile Device Lifecycle Administrator. This role is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of corporate iPhone and other mobile devices. This includes procurement through the Carrier, account and service management, new device setup, and supporting employees. The successful candidate will work closely with internal employees, Verizon, Apple, and the ServiceDesk team, and will also be involved in employee onboarding and termination activities related to mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Device Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of corporate iPhones and other assigned mobile devices, from procurement and deployment to refresh and disposal.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Manage the purchasing of new mobile devices and accessories through Verizon.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Verizon and Apple regarding account management, service issues, device orders, and technical support.
  • Account and Service Management:
  • Administer and manage corporate phone accounts, including activating new lines, processing upgrades, changing plans, suspending/unsuspending services, and managing features.
  • Device Setup and Configuration:
  • Set up and configure new iPhones and other mobile devices according to our standards and security policies, including email configuration, application installation, and enrollment in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Ensure devices are properly inventoried and documented.
  • User Support and Collaboration:
  • Provide Tier 2 support to employees for mobile device hardware, software, and connectivity issues, working in conjunction with the ServiceDesk team for issue resolution.
  • Onboarding and Termination Activities:
  • Manage the provisioning of mobile devices for new hires as part of the onboarding process, including device setup and basic user training.
  • Coordinate the collection, wiping, and re-provisioning or decommissioning of mobile devices during employee termination or role changes.
  • Inventory and Asset Management:
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all corporate mobile devices, accessories, and associated user assignments.
  • Policy and Security Compliance:
  • Ensure all mobile devices comply with IT security policies and data protection standards.
  • IT Support:
  • Assist with some light IT support needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience managing corporate mobile devices, specifically iPhones, within an enterprise environment.
  • Help Desk Experience
  • Proven experience working with Carriers for device procurement, account management, and service administration via their business portal.
  • Strong understanding of iOS operating systems and mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) concepts and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Apple Business Manager) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels, as well as external vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with IT asset management and inventory tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) for device enrollment and management.
  • Specific experience with an MDM platform used at TBA (if applicable).
  • Basic understanding of ITIL principles and ServiceDesk operations.
  • Experience in handling IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Some optional travel to MI could be possible, but not mandatory
