Mobile Developer with Java DURATION: Contract to hire 6 months LOCATION: Hybrid in Austin, TX MUST HAVES: 1. Need a degree in Computer Science 2. Most recent work should be with a software development company, ideally a SaaS software company, as a senior software developer. For example, working for a financial company is not a fit. Looking for working experience at a true software company with commercial products. Small company is fine if product was notable, but enterprise is more suitable. 3. Java and Android SDK 4. Android technology development 5. Familiarity with Restful APIs and JSON 6. Familiarity with video player 7. Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work 8. Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, like Git and Jenkins 9. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, like Scrum and Kanban 10. Good speaking and written communication skills in English PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Previously worked on SAAS platforms/products 2. Previously worked on live/vod video streaming platforms/products 3. Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose 4. Experience with iOS Objective C or Swift/SwiftUI 5. Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols such as: RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, HLS/DASH etc. 6. Experienced in cryptography such as SHA/AES/DES/RSA/SSL/TLS etc. 7.
