Position Overview: The Mobile Developer supports the development and maintenance of the DoD mobile app, performing cybersecurity scans, ensuring NIST SP 800-171 compliance, and securing Authority to Operate (ATO). This role provides technical support, manages cloud storage, and assists the Lead Mobile App Developer with coding and updates. It is essential for cybersecurity compliance and operational support, contributing to technical acceptability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity: Conduct cybersecurity scans, complete checklists, mitigate findings, and ensure NIST SP 800-171 compliance to secure ATO.
App Development Support: Assist the Lead Mobile App Developer with coding, testing, and updates for iOS/Android compatibility and feature implementation.
Technical Support: Provide support during government business hours, troubleshooting issues and assisting with app updates to app stores.
Cloud Management: Manage cloud storage for government data, ensuring secure access for push notifications and other features.
Maintenance: Support ongoing software updates to maintain high uptime and compliance with iOS/Android updates.
Collaboration: Work with the Project Manager, Lead Mobile App Developer, and UX/UI Designer to align cybersecurity, development, and design tasks.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
3+ years developing mobile apps for iOS and Android, preferably supporting COTS platforms.
3+ years in cybersecurity, including NIST SP 800-171 compliance and DoD projects.
2+ years providing technical support for software or mobile apps.
Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with app store submissions and DoD approval processes.
Skills:
Proficiency in mobile app development (e.g., React Native, Flutter) or COTS platforms.
Expertise in cybersecurity tools (e.g., Nessus, Splunk) and NIST SP 800-171 frameworks.
Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of cloud management and secure data storage.
Collaboration skills for remote work via virtual platforms.
U.S. citizenship preferred to meet potential DoD personnel security requirements.
Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Associate Android Developer.
