We are seeking a
Mobile Application Developer to join our equipment group in the
Westford, MA area. After gaining knowledge of our environment, there is the opportunity for this position to work under our Hybrid schedule working both in the office and remotely.
This individual will perform hands-on mobile development that targets Android and iOS systems. In addition, the individual may perform hands-on development in support of cloud and web applications, using a variety of modern application development frameworks, languages, and techniques. Responsible for developing and extending our existing FlexApp mobile infrastructure to support new device types and capabilities.
Responsibilities: - Works closely with engineering, product management, and QA to design and develop mobile applications and features, along with associated cloud and web applications.
- Builds highly scalable service-based web applications.
- Improves performance of existing applications.
- Works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting many products on varied release cycles.
- Adheres to and promotes the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of mobile application development experience with .Net MAUI targeting both Android and iOS platforms is required.
- 5+ years of programming experience using .NET Framework/.NET Core and C is required.
- Experience working on cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure (GCP experience is preferred).
- Experience working with microservices development.
- Strong technical skills with proven ability to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality software on time.
- Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Agile Scrum.
- Programming experience utilizing GitHub Copilot is a plus.
- Frontend experience in Vue.js is a plus.
- Experience building websites for load-balanced environments is a plus.
- Experience working in fiber optics is a plus.
- Experience working on a Linux platform is a plus.
