MLT Medical Laboratory Technician I

•  Performs clinical laboratory testing in areas such as Blood Bank, Microbiology, and general lab, ensuring timely and accurate results, quality control, equipment maintenance, and proper reporting of critical values.
•  Handles specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, clerical duties, and blood product dispensing.
•  Adheres to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards (CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, OSHA).
•  Assists with training, follows protocols for LIS/HIS reporting, and engages in ongoing education.
•  Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent training per CLIA requirements; relevant certification and Louisiana state licensure (if applicable).
•  Per Diem (PRN) role; new graduates and those with clinical rotations are eligible.
