Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Mission Systems Test Manager supporting a Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program located in Berkeley, MO.
In this role, you will lead a talented team to develop and execute the Mission Systems test plan. The successful candidate will provide leadership to establish a test infrastructure to maximize automation using the latest available digital tools. You will perform verification/ validation activities to deliver Advanced Mission System Capabilities to our warfighter. You will have the opportunity to operate in an agile development environment, mature our products through the development lifecycle, work on next generation open-architecture model-based designs, and collaborate across multiple disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Leads individual contributors and first-line managers performing engineering and technical activities associated with Advanced Mission Systems Capability Development which includes requirements decomposition, software development, and integration & test.
Team Execution; Drive programmatic execution for Mission Systems Capability Developments. Develop, track and communicate metrics to quantify technical and business performance, organize all EVM reporting and analysis.
Customer Engagement: Interface daily with customers and Boeing program office teams.
Safety Oversight: Ensure personnel and product safety related to design, production, and operation of integrated capabilities.
Technical Oversight & Engineering Excellence: Establish a culture of proactive technical oversight and risk management while ensuring systems engineering, technical integrity, and mission assurance for Mission Systems Capabilities
Process Improvement: Implement and enforce engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices, while continuously assessing and updating engineering processes for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with functional counterparts to ensure process inputs and outputs meet requirements.
Supplier Execution: Provides Technical Management of Supplier Execution
Compliance: Ensure engineering efforts are executed in compliance with established requirements and plans.
Mentorship & Development: Develop managers' and employees' skills through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations
Resource Planning: Plan and coordinate allocation of resources to meet program goals.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-Start is required.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher
10 years' related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years' engineering leadership experience
Currently a manager or have previously held a manager position
3+ years' technical experience in complex mission systems development and integration on tactical aircraft
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (peers, executive leaders, and customers)
Proven track record of execution in a development environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master's degree or higher
Experience supporting a Proprietary Program
Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile Methodologies
Experience with modern software development methodologies to include DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools
Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle
Experience with Mission Systems Open Architecture Standards
Experience applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs) to include project planning / scheduling and applying Earned Value Management (EVM).
A final U.S. top secret clearance preferred.

Summary pay range: $160,650- $217,350
