We are looking for a talented Millwork Product Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing high-quality millwork products that set industry standards. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who share your commitment to excellence and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:- Innovative Design: Create and develop millwork products that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Precision Engineering: Produce detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing, utilizing your expertise in CAD software.
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct material and product testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and technical support to production teams and other departments, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Industry Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends, materials, and technologies to continuously improve product designs.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- CAD Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) for creating detailed engineering drawings.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel: Including advanced formula creation, data analysis, and spreadsheet modeling.
- Material Knowledge: Strong understanding of materials used in millwork, including wood, laminates, resins, and composites.
- Manufacturing Insight: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques related to millwork production.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong mathematical aptitude: Ability to apply complex calculations and spatial reasoning to support precise product design and engineering specifications.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Project Development: Experience with project management and product development.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to millwork products.
- Certifications: Certification in relevant areas (e.g., PMP, LEED) is a plus.
