Military Exercise Planner/Range Coordinator Location: Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas ABOUT 390 C0S: 390th Communications Squadron (390 COS) is a vital unit within the United States Air Force, responsible for providing critical communication and information technology support across a wide range of operations. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Military Exercise Planner/Range Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Lackland AFB, TX. In this role, you will play a key part in planning, coordinating, and executing military exercises, ensuring their success and maximizing training value. PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBILITIES: Become proficient in all 390 COS Operational Capabilities (OCOs) platforms and their integration into service and joint exercises. Actively participate in exercise planning events, leading set-up and preparation efforts. Provide comprehensive support during exercise execution. Conduct thorough assessments of training value for each exercise. Plan unit exercise participation in accordance with AFI 10-204 and 67 CW directives. Possess in-depth knowledge of the IJSTO request and approval process. Establish and coordinate all range requirements for exercise integration, including: Collaboration with Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) mission partners. Coordination of effects with infrastructure managers. Coordination with 47 CTS/TTI for JIOR support and connectivity. Conducting site visits with external JIOR node controllers for connectivity discussions. Traveling to external agencies to coordinate exercise integration. Identify and guide the development of Threat Representative Network (TRN) requirements for Persistent Cyber Training Environments (PCTE). Maintain an active Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) account, ensuring accurate updates of training objectives , lessons learned, and after-action reports. Attend all necessary exercise planning events. Demonstrate a strong understanding of weapon system capabilities, effects, limitations, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), integration, and execution. Effectively utilize the Plan, Brief, Execute, and Debrief (PBED) process. Produce comprehensive exercise readiness briefs, coordination documents, Joint manning documents, and after-action reports. Coordinate out-processing, travel, bed-down, security clearance passage, and system access for all deploying exercise participants. Be prepared to work non-standard duty hours as required to support military exercise execution.
