Leidos is on the lookout for a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to contribute to the United States Space Force (USSF) initiatives by developing innovative software for the Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch. This role focuses on rapidly creating defensive cyber solutions designed to safeguard against both ground and space-based cyber threats. We seek a proactive leader and problem solver who excels in fast-paced environments and is prepared to deliver exceptional outcomes as part of a high-performing team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage, design, and monitor internal and external networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and oversee all systems, applications, security protocols, and network configurations.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues, devise a disaster recovery strategy, and propose system upgrades and new technologies.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to users effectively.
  • Leverage knowledge and discretion to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • This role requires privileged access, adhering to DODM 8570.01M guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM field with 3 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's Degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL operating systems administration.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Proficient in Group Policy design and configuration.
  • Familiarity with CISCO networking, switching, and virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of virtualization's role in user environments and network appliances.
  • Knowledgeable in Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies as well as data backup methods.
  • Experience with communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with IL4 and above network environments/systems.
  • Familiar with DoD policies relevant to system and network administration.
  • Understand the Risk Management Framework and its application in network/information system environments.
  • Competent in the following programming languages: Bash scripting and Python.
  • Must have CCNA, Security+, CCDE, or DoD 8140 Intermediate Proficiency certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (preferably with SCI and SAP eligibility) is highly desirable.
  • Previous relevant experience within the DoD or Industry related to Space Systems Command.
  • Knowledge of Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office is advantageous.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
