Description Join Leidos as a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to play a pivotal role in supporting a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. As a Systems Administrator, you will ensure that critical systems and software operate seamlessly in a dynamic multi-enclave environment. This role demands a technical and customer-oriented individual with familiarity in desktop software applications, including web browsing, client software, and IT Service Management software. Attention to detail is crucial for accurately capturing customer inquiries. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary, as you will communicate with customers to resolve service inquiries and problems. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems, managing VMware, and addressing general system issues. You'll also analyze recurring problems to develop proactive solutions.

Primary Tasks: - Engage with customers to address service inquiries and concerns.
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, distinguishing user-specific issues from enterprise-wide concerns.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather information, analyze data, and implement solutions for incident tickets and requirements.
- Assist in developing effective solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Prepare follow-up reports detailing technical findings, feedback, resolution steps for root cause analysis, and process improvements.
- Contribute to meeting customer requirements in a 24/7/365 mission environment.
- Keep operations and maintenance documentation updated for our 24/7 IT Operations Center staff.
Successful candidates must possess the following skills: - Foundational knowledge of cloud services and ecosystems (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience in Tier 2 system administration.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using languages such as PowerShell, shell scripts, or PowerBI.
- Adept at troubleshooting issues within a complex and evolving environment.
- Experience in log reviews, incident analysis, and issue trend identification.
- Familiarity with server patch management methodologies.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong communication capabilities, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues for enhanced processes and results.
- Experience with support ticket management systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
Certifications: - Candidates must meet DoDM 8140.03 certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
- While no industry certifications are mandatory, relevant certifications in VMware or Windows Server Administration are advantageous.
Education: - Bachelor's Degree with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience.
Clearance: - U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of government contracts.
- An active TS/SCI clearance is necessary, with the ability to obtain and maintain specific polygraph requirements.
