This is an on-site position at our Dahlgren office located in King George, VA, with the possibility of limited hybrid work after an initial onboarding phase.

Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this role. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility standards for access to classified information. US Citizenship is mandatory for obtaining clearance.
Requirements: - At least 5 years of coding experience in C , Kotlin, Java, and similar programming languages.
- A minimum of 3 years working with DoD research and development programs.
- Understanding of hardware architectures, microcontrollers, and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in writing test cases, unit testing, and validating hardware software integration.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, including network stack integration and socket programming.
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting network-related issues, covering configuration, connectivity, and data transmission challenges.
- Familiarity with Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems.
- Willingness to work on base at NSWCDD 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities: - Develop software for current control systems.
- Assist in testing and evaluating embedded systems both locally and at external sites.
- Implement software development best practices within government processes.
- Stay updated with the latest hardware, technology, and techniques in this fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate consistently with the government team through regular on-site meetings.
Preferred Skills and Experience: - Strong attention to detail and adherence to established processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is based on various factors such as experience, education, training, security clearance level, work location, and skills, according to our corporate compensation plan. The projected annual salary range for this position is $92,000.00 - $135,000 (USD).
