LTS is seeking an experienced Mid- Level Project Manager to support the program with the Department of Commerce. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles, along with a focus on the technical and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity. The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the department's cybersecurity goals and objectives. This role will involve collaboration with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver solutions that strengthen the department's cybersecurity posture. This position is on-site in Washington D.C. The position is contingent on the award.

Responsibilities:
  • Track progress in Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and/or Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) implementation.
  • Generate supporting documentation, including tables, narratives, and briefings. Provide technical support for current and future CDM/ZTA phases.
  • Apply knowledge in: Network and relay architecture, Data flows and aggregation, Hardware and software asset management, Secure configuration and vulnerability management, Credential and privileged access management
  • Maintain performance metrics for CDM/ZTA implementation.
  • Develop and update executive dashboards and reports on CDM/ZTA activities.
  • Support working group meetings, including maintaining minutes and tracking action items
  • Manage software licenses, including tracking costs and periods of performance.
  • Provide project management support for CDM/ZTA phases
  • Develop system design alternatives considering: Security, Operational Functionality, and Cost-effectiveness
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies for cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Facilitates meetings, provides clear communication, and ensures the timely completion of project milestones.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of and execute their responsibilities effectively.
  • Ensure all cybersecurity projects comply with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and compliance status.
  • Prepare and presents detailed project status reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of project plans and risks.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a related field.

    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Public Trust suitability.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with CDM and ZTA implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of CDM, ZTA, and broader cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports and messages to all levels of management.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a strong capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design effective solutions for complex challenges.
  • Extensive knowledge of project life cycles and government reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, etc.).
