Job Title: Mid-Level Labor And Employment Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its Labor & Employment team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience handling both class-based and individual employment matters, including compliance issues and litigation strategy. This opportunity offers the chance to work on diverse labor and employment issues across a variety of sectors, while supporting employers in maintaining proactive workplace practices and navigating complex employment law matters.
Duties:
Handle employment-related litigation, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, harassment, and retaliation matters
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws
Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, and employee handbooks
Assist in representing management in labor relations matters, including collective bargaining and labor arbitrations
Provide legal counsel on leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and employee terminations
Contribute to client strategy development and legal risk assessments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders as needed
Participate in discovery, depositions, and court proceedings
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in employment litigation and advisory work
Prior experience representing employers in both class actions and individual cases
Familiarity with traditional labor law is considered an advantage
Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing
Strong writing, communication, and legal research skills
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment
