Compensation: 7000 ZAR/ 32,200 per month
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mid-level Da Vinci Resolve Video Editor to join our fast-paced content production team. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for video editing and storytelling and is up to date with industry trends. Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for color grading and occasionally Adobe Premiere Pro for editing is required. A solid understanding of data management, color correction, and grading is essential, along with a high-performance PC that can handle resource-intensive software.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver high-quality YouTube vlogs daily, ensuring an efficient workflow.
- Handle large video files, downloading approximately 200GB per day.
- Perform professional color grading in DaVinci Resolve, particularly with log footage.
- Edit and optimize short-form content, including Instagram Reels.
- Maintain quick turnaround times while upholding high production standards.
- Collaborate effectively via Slack for communication and Jira for task management.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and meets required specifications.
- Partner with the creative team to understand the vision and objectives of each project.
- Manage video file organization and data integrity within DaVinci Resolve.
- Provide consistent project updates and maintain open communication with team members.
Requirements
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for color grading and Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.
- Experience working with high-resolution footage and large file sizes.
- A high-performance PC capable of running After Effects and other resource-intensive software.
- At least 1TB of free storage to manage high-volume media files.
- High-speed internet capable of downloading 200GB per day.
- Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and handle last-minute changes.
- Experience in a fast-paced content production environment.
- Familiarity with Jira for task management and Slack for team collaboration.
- Basic experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and self-manage time effectively.
