Hoffman & Forde, Attorneys at Law, APC is a full-service law firm with offices located in the Banker's Hill neighborhood of San Diego, across from the beautiful Balboa Park and in La Jolla, sitting above the Cove. As a fast-paced law firm with a large clientele, we are looking to add a Mid-Level Attorney with 2+ years of experience to become a part of our real estate and civil litigation team.
The candidate will have the opportunity to be the primary handling attorney on his/her own cases within a supportive and team-oriented environment. The candidate will be asked to create and implement strategies for the conduct of the litigation, handle court appearances, conduct depositions, attend mediations, and engage directly with clients. Attorney Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of California and in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, preferably related to real estate and complex commercial litigation matters
Strong knowledge of California state law
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Independently manage matters from start to finish
Ability to manage a heavy caseload with little supervision
Ability to think strategically and have good negotiation skills
Excellent drafting, writing and analytical skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high quality legal services
Ability to manage multiple projects
Attorney Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Draft/respond to complaints
Meet and confer with opposing counsel.
Develop case strategies.
Coordinate and conduct discovery.
Conduct depositions.
Draft motions, stipulations, briefs, declarations, etc.
Attend mediation and hearings and provide oral arguments.
Maintain excellent communication with clients.
