Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate (class of ) to join its Antitrust practice. This position focuses on civil litigation and government enforcement, with a particular emphasis on antitrust matters. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in antitrust litigation, including class actions and all major phases of civil litigation. Additional experience with government enforcement actions and a background in economics is highly desirable.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Represent clients in antitrust litigation matters, including class actions and government enforcement actions.
  • Participate in all phases of civil litigation, from pre-litigation investigations to trial and appeal.
  • Advise clients on antitrust risks and strategies in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and other business activities.
  • Work closely with senior partners on complex antitrust issues and disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on antitrust issues.
  • Prepare for and participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.

Requirements:

  • Should have 4-6 years of substantive antitrust litigation experience.
  • Strong experience with class actions and major phases of civil litigation.
  • Experience with government enforcement actions is a plus.
  • Background in economics is a plus.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Relevant law firm experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the position is based (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the position is based, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Experience in class action litigation.
  • Familiarity with government enforcement actions related to antitrust issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
