Description:

As a Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Specialist, you will implement a robust data protection strategy across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and the broader M365 ecosystem. This role focuses on Data Loss Prevention (DLP), information governance (Data Labels, Data Retention Policies), and ensuring secure collaboration both internally and externally.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $45 - $55 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and manage DLP policies for Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Protect sensitive communications within and outside the organization, including source code and confidential files.
  • Implement DLP rules based on sensitive information types, trainable classifiers, and labeled content.
  • Manage sensitivity labels in SharePoint/OneDrive, including default labels and auto-labeling capabilities.
  • Develop and implement label policies for files, email, groups, and sites.
  • Drive label recommendations and enforce best practices across the organization.
  • Configure retention policies, labels, and default retention settings.
  • Oversee records management workflows, including item classification as records and disposition reviews.
  • Develop customer training material including written guides and tip sheets as well as educational materials for Enterprise Service Desk.
Experience Requirements:
  • Proven experience creating and managing Microsoft 365 Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
  • Strong background in implementing data protection strategies and solutions across M365.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams configuration for external sharing, sensitivity labeling, and records management.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft suite of applications including Purview.
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining sensitivity labels, label policies, and auto-labeling.
  • Understanding of insider risk management and alert configuration for anomalous user behavior.
  • Knowledge of retention labels, retention policies, and disposal/archiving processes.
Education Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
  • Certifications/Licenses: Microsoft Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate certification preferred
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
