Job Description

We are seeking a candidate for a metal prep associate. The Metal Prep Associate is responsible for preparing metal parts and materials for further processing and assembly. This includes tasks such as cleaning, grinding, polishing, deburring, and other metal preparation processes. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Preparing Metal Parts: Perform tasks to clean, deburr, and smooth metal parts and components in preparation for further processing or finishing.
  • Grinding and Polishing: Use grinding machines, sanders, or polishing tools to remove imperfections and prepare the surface for coating or assembly.
  • Inspection: Inspect raw metal materials and finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
  • Tool and Equipment Operation: Operate basic metalworking tools and equipment safely, including grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and other specialized metal prep tools.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport metal parts and materials throughout the facility, ensuring materials are properly stored and organized.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including machine operators, assemblers, and supervisors, to ensure metal parts are prepared for the next stage of production.








Work Experience
  • Experience in construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
  • Sit-down forklift experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse/factory setting with exposure to noise and temperature variations.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
