We are partnered with a dynamic and fast-growing battery energy storage and solar PV developer that is seeking an experienced Director of M&A Transactions to join its San Antonio-based team. With over a decade of successful project execution and industry leadership, the company has built a strong reputation as both a developer and long-term asset owner.
This is a high-impact, external-facing role ideal for individuals who possess a solid background in business development, transactional leadership, project divestitures, and renewable energy deal structuring. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. With three projects ready for sale, the company is looking for someone who can step in and drive transactions from day one.
Location: San Antonio, TX (On-site, Full-Time)

Reports to: Executive Vice President, Business Development
Compensation: Competitive salary + uncapped performance-based bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Sell-Side M&A & Project Divestitures:
- Develop compelling offering materials to support the sale and financing of battery energy storage and solar PV projects
- Lead project buyer outreach by leveraging your industry network, cultivating new relationships, and utilizing existing company contacts
- Coordinate and support the due diligence process, ensuring timely, accurate responses to inquiries-requires experience managing cross-functional internal teams
- Manage data rooms to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project information
Transactional Work:
- Manage the preparation, structuring and timely submission of PPAs, Build-Transfer Agreements (BTAs), and Tolling Agreements
- Lead internal and external teams (engineering, finance, legal, advisors) through proposal preparation
- Collaborate with internal financial analysts to develop pricing strategies and deal assumptions
- Drive transactions through to close with a focus on accuracy, competitiveness, and value creation
Reporting & Internal Coordination:
- Prepare regular weekly and monthly reports in partnership with executive leadership
- Ensure clear communication of progress, pipeline status, and key deal milestones
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years in a similar role in the renewable energy sector with an IPP, developer, and/or utility
- Experience with financial modeling and understanding of tax equity structures and battery storage is a strong plus, but not a necessity
