Primary is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to support the Merchandising team in the end-to-end product development process. This role is the central owner of seasonal records and information and all incoming/outgoing sample management. Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, you'll collaborate closely with the broader Merchandising, Sourcing, and Creative teams to ensure samples are tracked, received, invoiced, and distributed throughout the product life cycle across all categories and seasons.
What You'll Do - Own and maintain seasonal line sheets, ensuring accuracy of style being planned for each season
- Track weekly sales data and assist in identifying best-selling products
- Organize and execute seasonal Mock Shops to gather customer insights prior to line adoption, and synthesize findings for the team
- Ensure accurate color assortments are reflected in the Product Data Management (PDM) system
- Participate in seasonal strategy meetings
- Manage all aspects of sample handling, including tracking, receiving, organizing, and distributing across teams
- Monitor and track sample costs and invoicing to ensure alignment with budget
- Serve as the liaison between Product Development and Creative teams to communicate sample statuses, arrival timelines, and any delays
- Update the Merchandising team on changes to product details or launch time lines
- Respond to and coordinate sample requests from cross-functional business partners
- Prepare and support seasonal product presentations to share new ideas and line highlights with Creative team
What We're Looking For - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management/prioritization skills
- Comfort with analyzing data to identify trends and insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
