Daily Responsibilities
- P.O.S. installation for the products of our Client Suppliers (floor displays, hanging displays, counter displays, shelf talkers, interior displays, and window signs and displays)
- Order in-house produced P.O.S. from Graphics Department when needed.
- Shelf management for existing client products and new product introduction
- Rebate coupon distribution, installation, and removal upon expiration
- Cold-box management for client supplier's products
- Restocking of shelves, cold-box, and displays
- Log all efforts in an excel spreadsheet as required
- Take digital or conventional pictures of efforts as outlined by the Merchandising Manager and e-mail the pictures daily to the Merchandising Manager
- Check e-mail regularly during workday via Smartphone or iPad and reply to all e-mail within As soon as possible
On a regular basis preferably not less than every two days:
- Forward via e-mail or post on Drop Box any requested reports, surveys, trackers, and back-up documentation pictures
Occasionally, the Merchandiser will be required to:
- Conduct a data survey by size, price, or shelf position of specified product(s)
- Assist in New Store product shelf placement and floor display set up of ABG products, as well as unloading trucks.
- Assist in existing store make-overs and resets with product shelf placement and floor display set up of ABG products
- Delivery product in a company vehicle with a NJ transit insignia
- Set up displays and P.O.S. at trade shows
- Help train new hires
Performance Standard
The merchandiser be extremely organized and is expected to work independently. Occasionally the Merchandiser may "team up" with other marketers to assist or be assisted with particular projects.
The merchandiser will be exposed to sudden change-of-plan to accommodate a special project or task and will be expected to react in a professional manner.
The merchandiser will be required to behave and interact positively and exhibit a professional, humble demeanor when working with all retailers.
The merchandiser should visit a minimum of 6 accounts per day except on Meeting Days

Physical Requirements:

Lifting cases of 45 to 60 lbs. repetitively (avg. of 100 to 150 cases/day several times per week) including building 40-case displays up to 3 x's/week. Moving Point-of-Sale product from van to store - including cartons of various dimensions up to 75 lbs. Bending, reaching, and lifting product (from bottles to cases) from floor to shelves often, climbing ladders (6ft). Occasionally: New Store Openings - lifting, carrying and stocking 400-500 cases of product/day.Occasionally: Trade Shows: Set up of wine show displays and lifting, moving 100+ cases/day for average of two days.

Must be proficient in Microsoft office and Windows. Must be comfortable with a smart phone and iPad. Must be able to maintain composure when working through challenging situations.
