Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our team based in New York, USA. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in inventory management, forecasting and planning.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for inventory management including stock levels, replenishment and inventory checks with full understanding, maintenance, and management of own WSSI.
- Working strategically to deliver KPI's including - sell-through rates, GMROI, stock turnover, sales per square foot, markdown and sales strategies.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts identifying key trends or opportunities for growth.
- Management of the critical path. Coordinating between the Design and Production teams ensuring effective communication and ensuring the key delivery schedule is met.
- Develop and implement comprehensive product assortment plans that align with company objectives and market demand.
- Execute price setting and perform detailed margin analysis to understand product profitability and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Identify and raise PO's in-line with the buying and delivery schedule
- Identify trade opportunities and take appropriate action.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' Merchandising experience
- Experience working with suppliers is essential
- Good understanding of Manière De Voir's brand vision and customer profile
- Great understanding of fashion with a keen sense of taste
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Strong analytical mindset and ability, with proven experience
- Decisive decision-making skills is essential
- Strong computer literacy skills - Advanced excel user with confidence to manipulate data
- Analytical skills - Comfortable working with and strategically analysing data
- Strong commercial awareness - Knowledge of wider marketplace and context of broader business
