Role Summary
The Merchandise Assistant plays an integral role in the daily operation of the Pro Shop and Match Day operations while working in a fast-pace, high-energy retail environment with frequently changing priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provide customer service via phone, email, and in person, assessing guest's needs and assisting with returns, exchanges, and the selection of retail merchandise by providing product expertise and information.
  2. Prepare online orders for shipping or in store pickup following packing and shipping standards.
  3. Assist with the maintenance of the physical inventory by performing periodic inventory reconciliations, removing inventory that does not meet the company's standards, updating inventory counts, and sharing discrepancies with management.
  4. Assist with the receiving, unpacking, counting, barcoding, and organizing of all incoming merchandise.
  5. Assist with the transport and organization of merchandise to and from warehouses and across various selling locations.
  6. Customize retail jerseys and other apparel as needed.
  7. Assist with match day preparation and execution including technology, supplies, stocking/restocking of inventory, signage, visual merchandising, and load in and load out.


Required Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or its equivalency

2. Two years of responsible work experience, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment, although not required.

3. Highly motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment.

4. Passionate about providing exceptional levels of customer service.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

7. Able to work flexible schedule based on business needs.

8. A high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative to take direction and follow through on assigned tasks.

9. Positive attitude and strong work ethic, demonstrating a professional and gracious demeanor.

10. Comfortable with using a variety of technology and new computer applications.

11. Able to contribute thoughts and ideas on improvements to management.

12. Able to support and follow company and store policies, procedures, and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
1. The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs including special events which may occur on weekendsnor weekday evenings; inventory stocking and re-stocking which may occur before or after regular business hours.

2. Reliable form of transportation that can be used to pick up, deliver, and transport merchandise and supplies.

3. Must be able and willing to lift and move large and awkwardly sized boxes and merchandise daily.

4. Ability to function in a highly activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue.

5. Must work in all types of weather, including heat, rain, wind, cold.

6. Must be comfortable working independently off-site.

Position: Full-Time
Compensation: $17.50 - $19.50 / Hour
