The successful caniddate will oversee daily field operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure project milestones are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires strong collaboration with project teams and the flexibility to travel to Virginia and South Carolina projects, with plans to transition to Washington, DC.

Based in Arlington, VA, our client is a leading innovator in delivering turnkey design-build projects that focus on reducing energy consumption, boosting renewable energy production, and improving resilience. As one of only 60 Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) nationwide, they specialize in transforming the built environment through comprehensive renovations and upgrades. Their expertise lies in MEP and HVAC systems, with potential integrations of solar panels and microgrids. With a team of approximately 50 employees, they primarily serve the Federal Government while also taking on projects for municipalities, universities, hospitality, and data centers.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily field operations to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deadlines
  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades to maintain project schedules and quality standards
  • Enforcing compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Performing regular site inspections and maintaining comprehensive documentation
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, and clients to address and resolve issues efficiently
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence on-site
  • Willingness to travel to current projects in Virginia and South Carolina, with plans to eventually settle in Washington, DC.

Profile


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing or executing heavy mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects, including new construction and retrofits such as chiller installations, industrial-spec AHU replacements, boiler work, and duct demolition/replacement.
  • Experience managing government projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Expertise in reading, interpreting, and updating construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in PlanGrid, Ranken, and Bluebeam is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Dedication to upholding rigorous safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.
