A leading design-build company specializing in energy-efficient solutions is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. This role will initially require travel to active project sites in Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC, with long-term work in the Washington, DC area. The company focuses on delivering energy-saving projects, primarily in the federal government sector, through renovations and retrofits.

- Federal government projects in Washington, DC, including renovations for 12 federal buildings ($300M total, 4-year duration).
- Additional projects at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and the Charleston Navy Yard.
Travel Information:
- Candidates must be based in the Washington, DC area and willing to travel to Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC for project work. Long-term projects will be based in Washington, DC.
Description
- Oversee and manage MEP-related construction activities, ensuring project safety, quality, and adherence to timelines.
- Supervise the installation and retrofitting of heavy mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, ductwork, and industrial HVAC units.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure work aligns with all relevant safety codes, including compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and efficient use of resources.
- Travel to project sites in Norfolk, VA, Charleston, SC, and the greater Washington, DC metro area as needed.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience supervising or performing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) work, with expertise in new construction and retrofit applications.
- Associate-level technical degree in HVAC/Plumbing preferred.
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software.
- OSHA-30 certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification (current or previous) is highly valued.
